Perspolis stunned at Azadi

TEHRAN – Perspolis conceded its second defeat in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.Daei’s men continued their poor results in AFC Champions League and this time were defeated 3-1 by Bunyodkor at Azadi stadium in front of 20,000 Iranian passionate supporters.
Anvar Rajabov gave the visiting team a lead in the 60th minute. In the 70th minute Alireza Mohammad received a red card for a foul in the penalty box and left the pitch.
Hayrulla Karimov converted the penalty to extend the lead for Uzbek side.
Shpejtim Arifi reduced the deficit for the hosts but a late goal from Victor Karpenko four minutes into the stoppage time secured three points for Bunyodkor.
Perspolis is now at the bottom of the Group C with only two points from four games.
